Vehicle Donated To Air Force Veteran

POMONA, CA - Bluejacket Foundation, Inc., through its partner "The Deserted" Military M/C, has donated a 1995 Toyota Camry to Air Force Veteran John Mathis.

The vehicle was donated by Xochitl Vallarta in August with the hopes that it would find it's way to a fellow Veteran who was in need of assistance. Vallarta is an Iraq Campaign Veteran where she served as a U.S. Sailor in the early years of the war.

The vehicle was repaired and made ready by Hye Tech Auto in Covina, CA. The cost for the parts and labor were donated by the state of the art automobile servicing company. Hye Tech Auto counts a Marine Corps Veteran, who also served in Iraq and assisted with the repairs, as a part of its staff.

This is no new feat for Hye Tech Auto. The company, founded by Vartan Yousofan, has been working with various non-profits over the years which service U.S. Veterans. This is the third vehicle in 2017 that they have brought to complete working condition completely free of charge.

At the time vehicle was presented, Vallarta was on location to pass the keys and registration on to Mathis, who stated, "Thank you all. I will do my best to pay it forward."
